# Overview

Omium Protocol is an innovative project that brings together different DeFi mechanisms for optimal results. \
[Staking](/omium/protocol/staking.md) will be available at launch with a variable APY that will automatically adjust based on different metrics (Total staking, MC, volume...). \
[Smart fees](/omium/protocol/smart-fees.md) will also be implemented on the token to reduce selling pressure and increase token liquidity. \
[Bonds](/omium/protocol/bonds.md) will then make their appearance so the protocol can own its liquidity and treasury (POL & POT). \
[Treasury Management](/omium/protocol/treasury-management.md) will generate real yield which will be used for buyback and burn $OMM.

Our project is inspired by different mechanisms that have arisen between the summer DeFi and today. Our main goal is to create an innovative protocol capable of being sustainable in the long term and having its own treasury & liquidity. This will allow us to implement our [Roadmap](/omium/ecosystem/roadmap.md) and release new features.
